What happened to all the Buffets in Vegas that we loved?  The short answer is they are gone and are unlikely to return. However that isn’t as bad as it sounds as there are still some left that we would like to share.

What Happened to Buffets in Vegas?

The actual story is a bit longer than that. Before the pandemic every casino had buffets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Most Casinos closed them down during the pandemic. However Wynn and Caesar’s Palace are the last ones standing with a good old fashioned buffet. The other options on the Strip are rather limited. Besides the pandemic, cost was also an issue. Buffets in Vegas are expensive and waste for the Casino’s putting them on. Prices kept increasing as the cost of labor and food gradually rose. If the buffet is constantly busy that it worked, however outside of the meal rush times, buffets could be costly and wasteful.

However Wynn offers one of the best buffets in town, and shows no sign of slowing down. For those who are adventurous there are buffets off the strip. A lot of trial and error involved finding the right buffet, but we have listed a few below to make it easier for you. But there are new ones popping up all the time. There are many buffet options still left in Las Vegas, but many have moved off The Strip. If you don’t mind heading off Strip on a small adventure you will find a few hidden treasures. Book a party bus to take you off Strip and experience these local gems!
